Flashback: Black Thought x Phalary

The Roots! (February 2007) I was in the front row of their concert and throughout the event; I just wanted a wink, a smile, or a wave, anything to show me that Black Thought remembers me. The concert was coming to an end and I was beginning to feel disappointed until he was slapping hands with the crowd. We cross paths and I ask him if he even remembers me. He said yes! I almost faint. Oh boyyy. Was I excited. He kneels down to speak to me and asks how I’m doing. I tell him how I wanted to see “Clock With No Hands” live. Mr. I Shall Proceed himself asked if I wanted to attend the after party. The after party! He asked for my ticket and I thought he was going to just give me his autograph or the address of where the after party was held. I get the ticket back and what do I see?

Flashback: Ghostface x Phalary

Ghostface kissed me on the cheeks! Lol. What happened was my friend Rich (the promotor) gave me the okay on meeting Ghost. The show ended and I was told to wait in the corner of the stage. Ghostface came out 30 minutes later and just kept walking to the car. The DJ spoke to Ghost for a few and lucky for me, Ghost’s friend out of nowhere tapped me on the shoulders and asked me what I was doing and asked if I was Laos. Wu Tang sure does love the Asians. Lol. I told him how I was waiting for Ghost and his friend was so sweet. Ghost was just getting into his car but I was lucky enough to be able to chop it up with him. I mentioned how I met Raekwon a few weeks ago and he asked me how he was. I told him that he was sweet but I was madd nervous. Ghost said how I didn’t have to be nervous around Wu Tang because Wu Tang are madd chill. My reply without even thinking was, “No, Wu Tang ain’t nothing to fuck with!” Hahaha!! I gave him a hug and he kissed me right on the cheeks! It happened so fast where I became shook. Lol! Classic!!!

Bambu is the Illest
Last night I attended the Shirt the Kids Charity Showcase where Ashley Robles, Kiwi, Deep Foundation and Bambu performed. Here are the videos from Bambu’s performance. He killed it as usual. My camera died towards the end of his set but I was able to get most of his performance. Enjoy.
